Maldives Tourism Development Board Limited to Replace MMPRC


Government of the Maldives has established a new state company to replace Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

Maldives Tourism Development Board Limited, the new company with 100% of its shares owned by the government is assigned to promote the Tourism Sector of the Maldives. Government has not yet announced its plans with regard to MMPRC.

Tourism is the single largest contributor to the national GDP and the introduction and growth of local tourism and guesthouses have recently brought significant changes to the country's tourism sector.
