Post-Maumoon Era Shows the Lowest Rate of Increase in Life Expectancy in Maldives

Life expectancy at birth indicates the number of years a newborn infant would live if prevailing patterns of mortality at the time of its birth were to stay the same throughout its life. 

Maldives has done a great job in improving the life expectancy of its people since 1960s. Life expectancy is continuously on the rise. But, the rate of increase in life expectancy is comparatively less in the post-Maumoon era.
